Albert Brown, Australian photographer, foundation member of Group M
Albert Brown was one of the key people in the Melbourne photographer's group - Group M.
One of Albert's significant roles was to promote the group's cause, creating a network of supporters in galleries, archives, and academia.
Given the anniversary now being held at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) celebrating 30 years, it is important to recognise the significance of Albert Brown's efforts in the creation of the Photographic Department at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) in 1966.
